Construct a community based nature center in the Ernest E Debs Regional Park. 17 acres of the 282-acre urban wilderness park is the site for the center in an undeveloped portion of the park. Welcoming central courtyard, approximately 5,023 SF building, children’s garden, and interpreted trails. Center is 100% solar powered and uses 70% less water than a conventional building of its size. The innovative design is a model of sustainable technology and received a platinum LEED rating from the USGBC.
